Marjorie M. Stucky, 94, of Berne, passed away at 10:28 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at Swiss Village Retirement Community. Marjorie was born Aug. 11, 1919, in Bluffton, to Henry G. and Mary Reineck Dotterer. She married Earl M. Stucky Oct. 12, 1940, in Monroe; he preceded her in death Sept. 20, 2011. She was a homemaker and assisted her family with operating the Stucky Furniture store in Monroe for years. She was a 1937 graduate of Bluffton High School and was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. Survivors include a son, Steve (Carol) Stucky of Monroe; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Stucky of Monroe; a sister, Caroline Lantz of Bluffton; four grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Rick Stucky, and brothers Paul and Joe Dotterer. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Apostolic Christian Church East with Ron Kipfer and John Reinhard officiating. Calling hours are 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Burial will be at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Swiss Village Retirement Community or Rick Stucky Memorial Enrichment Fund that is within the Adams County Community Foundation.
