Marjorie E. Gerber, 87, formerly of New Haven, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 28, 2018, at Christian Care Retirement Community in Bluffton.

Born in Fairbury, IL, on May 13, 1931, to Michael and Ida (Greuter) Zimmerman, Marjorie married James R. "Jim" Gerber in Latty, OH, on June 3, 1951; he preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 2016.

Marjorie was a homemaker and a member of the Apostolic Christian Church.  She had a love for music, and especially enjoyed playing the piano and guitar.

She is survived by a son, Larry (Sarah) Gerber of Decatur; a daughter, Susan (Michael) Davis of Ft. Wayne; four grandchildren, Jamie L. Davis, Mickenzee E. Davis, Hayden M. Davis, and Kylie M. Gerber; along with a sister, Melvene (Russell) Stoller of Latty, OH.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marjorie was preceded in death by an infant son, Mark Allen Gerber on Mar. 13, 1963; three brothers, Elden, Earl, and Kenneth Zimmerman; and a sister, Delores VanNorman.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, from 3:00 until 8:00 PM, at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel, 3220 East State Road 124, Bluffton, IN.  Services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 2nd, at 10:30 AM, at the Apostolic Christian Church, 12867 Road 82, Paulding, OH, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow at the Latty Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Christian Care Retirement Community Good Samaritan Fund.
