Marilyn J. Minnich, 80, formerly of Bluffton, died at 8:40 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Heritage Pointe in Warren. Born Oct. 7, 1932, in Bluffton to Charles and Bertha (Graden) Maddux, she married Floyd L. Minnich on Dec. 25, 1951, in Bluffton; he survives. A 1950 graduate of Bluffton High School, she worked for Indiana Bell Telephone for eight years and as a bookkeeper at Graden's Tire for 20 years. She was a member of the First Reformed Church in Bluffton. Other survivors include two sons, Joseph (Kim) Minnich of Bluffton and Timothy (Lori) Minnich of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Cynthia (Craig) Stauffer of Bluffton; a sister, Dorothy (Frederick) Sprunger of Bluffton; six grandchildren, Scott (Amy) Minnich, Jenny (Eric) Borror, Andy (Hillary) Minnich, Megan (Steve) Whitsitt, Nick (Kristen) Minnich, and Lauren Stauffer; and eight great-grandchildren, Gage Enslen, Corbin Minnich, Brooke Borror, Kylie Baumgartner, Ella Borror, Lily Minnich, Brynn Whitsitt, and Madelynn Whitsitt. Calling hours are Wednesday from 1 to 8 p.m. at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel, Bluffton. Services will be held there Thursday, Feb. 7, at 10:30 a.m. with Dr. Bryson E. Bell officiating. Burial will be in Six Mile Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to the First Reformed Church of Bluffton and Heritage Pointe Alzheimer's Unit.
