Marilyn Bardsley, 72, Bluffton, died at 9:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at her home. Mrs. Bardsley was a 1955 graduate of Bluffton High School and was a former member of the Old Salem United Methodist Church. She was born Aug. 7, 1937, in Wells County, to Walter and Helen Gottschalk Linn. She married Max F. Bardsley Oct. 21, 1956, in Bluffton; her husband survives. Also surviving are a son, Matt (Kristy) Bardsley of Ossian; four daughters, Teresa (Tom) Ibholm of Fort Wayne, Kris (Chad) Biberstein of Monroe Kathy (Steve) Carney of Bluffton, and Tina (Dee) Ripley of Lexington, Ky.; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Carolyn Faus and Cheryl Barnes, both of Bluffton. Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel with Pastor Andrew Lyons officiating. Burial will be at the Six Mile Cemetery, Bluffton. Preferred memorials are to the American Cancer Society or to Family Hospice and Palliative Care.
