Marcella M. Yergler, 96, of Bluffton, passed away Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020, at Christian Care Retirement Community.

Marcella was born in Bluffton on Apr. 23, 1924, to Jacob and Minnie (Baumgartner) Tonner.  She married Truman D. Yergler in Bluffton on Apr. 22, 1945.  He preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 2016.

Marcella was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church and worked as a cook at Lancaster Elementary School for 21 years.  She was a wonderful cook and especially enjoyed cooking for her family.

Survivors include a daughter, Sue (Tom) Neuenschwander of Bluffton; two sons, Kim (Sue) Yergler and Jeff (Peg) Yergler, both of Bluffton; along with nine grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren (and one on the way).

In addition to her parents and husband, Marcella was preceded in death by a son, Dee Yergler; two brothers, Curt and Harry Tonner; and four sisters, Cordilla Aschliman, Lucille Reinhard, Doris Fiechter, and Mary Klopfenstein.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, at 3:00 PM, at the Apostolic Christian Church East, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.  Ryan Bertsch and Mark Gerber will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Adams County.
