Obituary

Mandy Jo Arnold , age 42 , of Decatur, w ent home to be with her Father in heaven on Friday morning, September 1 7, 2021. She was at home with her husband Brent ; d aughter , Macy (17) , s ons , Cole (15) , Max (10) , and Crew (8), all of whom made up the entirety of her whole world. Mandy's eight-year long battle with cancer was so very courageous, and thr ough it all , she modeled a life worth celebrating. She will always be remembered….

Mandy's love for her children was nothing less than incredible , a s they were the pride and joy of her life ; she loved them with such passion and pleasure it was remarkable to behold.

Mandy also loved dancing , which she did for 15 years with the Su zy Fue l ling Dance Studio, and as an instructor for another 13 years with Razz M Jazz. She enjoyed the yearly vacations to Fort Myers Beach at Lah a ina Inn, which was the perfect beach destination for a growing family. Mandy loved flowers and the color pink.  She especially loved the summer months and sitting on her front porch at the lake cottage.

Mandy was born in Decatur on Jan. 16, 1979, to Darwin E. and Becky L. (Miller) Pierstorff.  Her parents survive in Decatur.  Mandy graduated from Bel l mont High School in 1997 and later married Brent M. Arnold in Decatur on Sept. 29, 2001. Mandy h omeschooled all of her children and was a member of WACHE. Her love for b abies, anything silver and shiny, note pads, and B ibles , was surpassed by no one.

In addition to her husband Brent, her four children, and her parents, Mandy is survived by a sister, Lynn (Phil) Pluister of Anderson, S.C.; a brother, Adam Grimm of Warsaw; and her father and mother-in-law, Keith and Lilli Arnold of Decatur.

Mandy was a caring and loving person, kind, gentle, and compassionate, which all stemmed from her faith In God, her faith was unshakable, solid, and true. She was a n example to all her knew her, and inspirational to those who would know her story.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021, from 2:00 until 8:00 PM, at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton.  Services will be on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021, at 10:30 AM, with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the funeral home. Susan Dyer will officiate.  Burial will follow at Prairie View Cemetery in Tocsin.
