Mahilda L. Dubach, 87, of Bluffton, died at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at the Christian Care Retirement Community. Mrs. Dubach had been a waitress at the Dutch Mill restaurant and had retired as an inspector for the CTS Corp. in Berne after 25 years' employment. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with babysitting. She also enjoyed cooking, loved people, and walking. Mrs. Dubach was born Sept. 14, 1922, in Wells County, to Noah Aschliman and Naomi Gilliom Aschliman. She married Leonard E. Dubach June 4, 1944, in Bluffton; her husband preceded her in death March 26, 1976. Survivors include two sons, Michael (Linda) Dubach of Bluffton and Patrick (Judy) Dubach of Indianapolis; a daughter, Connee (Larry) Hunter of Ossian; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, and three step-greatgreat-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Ida) Aschliman and Glenn "Butch" Aschliman, both of Bluffton; and two sisters, Dorothy Moser of Bluffton and Sarah Jane Meyer of Ossian. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Aschliman and Kenneth Aschliman, and two sisters, Delores King and Evelyn Ely. Calling will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the Apostolic Christian Church North. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 13, at the church with Nile Bucher and Steve Ringger officiating. Burial will be at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to the Christian Care Retirement Community.
