Mae M. Frauhiger, 82, of Bluffton, passed away at 3:45 a.m. on September 11, 2013. She was born February 17, 1931, to the late Howard and Hazel (Blair) Mowery in Wells County. Mae married Jerry E. Frauhiger on December 28, 1956 in Bluffton; he survives. A 1949 graduate of Bluffton High School, Mae co-owned Happy's Place Tavern in Berne with her husband for 23 years. Among survivors are a son, Jeff (Dawn) Frauhiger of Bluffton; daughter, Jenny (Ryan) Neuenschwander of Berne; brother, Clarence Mowery of North Webster; sister, Mary Jane Liggett of Naples, Fla.; granddaughters, Emma and Maelyn Frauhiger; and step-grandsons, James and John Neuenschwander. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Mowery and Howard Mowery Jr. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, September 14, at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Doyle Frauhiger officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
