M. Marie Iser, rural Huntington, died at 2:02 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010 at her home. A native of Bluffton, she was born on Feb. 12, 1923 to Ervin and Bessie (Lash) Swartz, Sr. She married Charles A. Iser on Jan. 26, 1943 in Bluffton; he survives. She was a housewife and a member of the First Church of Christ in Bluffton. Other survivors include a son, Charles E. "Chuck" (Ruth) Iser of Markle; a daughter, Lula Harrell of Warsaw; a brother, Ervin (Joan) Swartz, Jr. of Bluffton; one grandchild, Angela Iser of Warsaw; two great grandchildren, Tristan and Jessi Iser, both of Warsaw; and a great-great grandchild, Bentley Iser of Warsaw. She was preceded in death by seven brothers, Donald, Franklin, Virgil, Robert, Darell, Eugene and Lee Swartz. Calling hours are Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Goodwin Memorial Chapel, with service to follow at 2 p.m. there; Larry Sprinkle officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to the First Church of Christ.
