Louise Mitchell, 88, died at 5:50 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at Ossian Health Care. Mrs. Mitchell was born Aug. 16, 1922, in Bluffton, to Charles H. Smith and Hazel I. Miller Smith. She was married twice. She married Donald Brooks Faus June 15, 1946, in Bluffton; he preceded her in death Aug. 17, 1962. She married Noble O. Mitchell July 2, 1969, in Bluffton; he preceded her in death Sept. 14, 2010. Survivors include a daughter, Janice Sue Faus of Ossian, and three sisters, Irene Wasson of Wabash, Joyce Decker of Greensboro, N.C., and Joan (Vern) Malmstrom of Versallia, Calif. In addition to her parents, her first husband, and her second husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Keith Wayne Faus Mitchell, who died in 1976, and a sister, Maxine Booker. Calling will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Bluffton.
