Lorraine V. Doyle, 81, Bluffton, died at 7:52 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011 in the Bluffton Regional Medical Center's emergency room. Born in the Bronx, New York on June 7, 1930 to William and Violet (Gentlis) Simmons, she married Cyril J. Doyle on May 8, 1972 in Nashville, Tenn.; he died Feb. 28, 2000. She worked at the Decatur Wal-Mart and then in the housekeeping department of Bluffton Regional Medical Center, retiring in 2000. Survivors include eight daughters, Sharon Olson of Bluffton, Sandra (Glenn) Saal of Gleason, Wisc., Susan (Michael) Gilbert of Bluffton and Sheryl (Otto) Griffin of Bluffton, Mary (Arthur) Brink of Manston, Wisc., Ruby Kellogg of Monticello, Laurie (Jay) Pace of Waukesha, Wisc., and Barb (Jeffrey) Plummer of Monticello; six sons, Steven (Janice) Olson of Waukesha, Wisc., Scott (Barbara) Olson of West Allice, Wisc., Joseph (Kathy) Doyle of Kimmell, Terry (Vivian) Doyle of Orfordville, Wisc., George Doyle of Monticello, and Michael (Lisa) Doyle of Waukesha, Wisc.; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wallace L. Olson who died in 1977; and two brothers, Robert Simmons, who died in 2011 and Richard Simmons, who died in 1940. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel at Prairie Home Cemetery, 605 S. Prairie Ave., Waukesha, Wisc., with calling there for one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will in the Prairie Home Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton.
