Lisa R. (Miller) Schwartz, 48, Bluffton, died suddenly at 1:51 a.m. Sunday, April 28, 2013, at her residence. Born in Bluffton on June 23, 1964, to Ralph T. and Nancy D. (Strawn) Miller, she was a 1982 graduate of Bluffton High School and attended Calvary Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Elks Lodge 796 in Bluffton for eight years. She was a confinement officer and dispatcher for the Wells County Sheriff's Department for four years and loved arts and crafts. Lisa had a love for animals, particularly cats, and was devoted to her sons. Survivors include her parents, of Bluffton; two sons, Logan M. Schwartz of Fort Wayne and Skylar A.S. Schwartz of Bluffton; her companion, Mike Hamilton of Bluffton; a sister, Kimberly Rae (Tom) Merrill of Parker, Colo.; a niece, Alex Merrill of Parker, Colo.; and several aunts and uncles. Services will be held Thursday, May 2, at 2 p.m. at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel, 3220 East Ind. 124, Bluffton, with calling there Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. Officiating at the service will be Pastor John Cole. An Elks Memorial Service will be held Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ossian.
