Linda L. Reed, 78, of Bryant, and a longtime resident of Bluffton, passed away early Monday morning, March 7, 2016, at her residence.

Born in Bluffton, IN, on Aug. 6, 1937, to William J. and Emma Irene (Jones) Hockenberry, Linda married Howard Reed in Bluffton on Sept. 4, 1976; he survives.

Linda worked at Kitco in Bluffton for 33 years until her retirement and was a member of the Sonlight Wesleyan Church.

In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by four sons, Jim Groff of French Lick, Bill Groff of French Lick, Jack Groff of Bryant, and Steven Estrada of French Lick; two daughters, Irene (Leroy) Ritter of Dunkirk, and Jody Beiler of Bluffton; a step-daughter, Melissa Robinson of Lawrenceburg; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Alongside her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a son, Tom Hockenberry; two brothers, Richard and Tom Hockenberry; and a sister, Bonnie Royer.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 8, 2016, from 3:00 until 7:00 PM at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton.  Services will be held Wednesday morning, at 10:30 AM, with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the funeral home.  Pastor Bobby Thomas will officiate.  Burial will be at Stahl Cemetery in Reiffsburg.
