Lewis "Junior" Mygrant, age 83, of Bluffton, passed away Sunday morning, Feb. 5, 2017, at his residence.

Born in Bluffton on June 30, 1933, to Dallas and Esther (Smith) Mygrant, he married Barbara McBride in Aurora, IN, on July 12, 1952; she survives.

Lewis graduated from Bluffton High School and served in the National Guard for eight years.  He was a paint contractor in the Bluffton area for over fifty years, retiring in 2000.  He was an avid horse lover and member of the Circle W Saddle Club.

In addition to his wife, Lewis was survived by two sons, Roger Mygrant and Douglas Mygrant, both of Bluffton; a daughter, Vickie Hoffacker of Bluffton; two sisters, Helen Foreman of Bluffton, and Anna Louise Henry of Hillsdale, MI; a brother, Glen (Georgie) Mygrant of Bluffton; four grandchildren, Kim (Bill) Fish, James (Jessica) Mygrant, Jon Mygrant, and Tasha Lockwood; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and Max Mygrant; and a son-in-law, Larry Hoffacker.

Private family services are being held at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton, with Pastor Dick Frederick officiating.  Burial will be at Elm Grove Cemetery in Bluffton with military graveside rites provided by the American Legion Post 111 of Bluffton.
