Leon E. Gerber, 69, of Warren, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at Physician's Regional Hospital in Naples Fla. Leon was born in Adams County, June 17, 1943, to David Gerber and Ada M. (Neuenschwander) Gerber. He married Mary K. Gerber in Wells County, July 12, 1964; she survives. A 1961 graduate of Adams Central High School, Leon was the founder of Pet Rest Inc., Wells County, and was the owner/operator from 1981 to 1997. He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. Leon loved the Lord and his family, and enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Other surviving relatives include two sons, Jeff (Rhonda) Gerber of Bluffton and Brad (Shawn) Gerber of Ossian; one brother, William Gerber of Craigville; two sisters, Ann Reinhard and Genny (Stan) Isch of Bluffton; and six grandchildren, Jacob Gerber, Autumn (Andrew) McAfee, Hope Gerber, Abraham Gerber, Josiah Gerber and Isaiah Gerber. Calling hours will be from noon to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Bluffton North Apostolic Christian Church. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the church, with Nile Bucher and Doyle Frauhiger officiating. Burial is at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
