Kay (Kirkwood) Leslie, 74, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday morning, March 27, 2015, at her son's residence in Goshen, IN. Born in Wells County on December 4, 1940, to Paul and Mabeline (Gallimore) Kirkwood, her parents both precede her in death. She married Garland S. Leslie on January 23, 1982, he preceded her in death on July 29, 2001. Kay grew up in Petroleum, IN, and attended Petroleum High School. She worked at the Dutch Mill Restaurant for six years as a waitress, then machine operator at CTS in Berne for six years. She later worked for Meijer Stores in Fort Wayne for twelve years before retiring. She attended Life Community Church in Bluffton and enjoyed playing euchre, especially with her euchre club. Kay is survived by one son, Dick (Kim) Miller of Goshen; a granddaughter, Cami Lee (Cory) Lebovitz of Flowery Branch, GA; a great-granddaughter, Nora Wren Lebovitz; and a sister, Rosalee Hockenberry of Fort Wayne. Aside from her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Elliott and Sharon Fisher; and one brother, Charles Kirkwood. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 31, 2015, from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Goodwin - Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. A funeral service to celebrate Kay's life will be held Wednesday, at 2:30 P.M., at the funeral home, with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Craig Cortright and Steve Schwartz will officiate. Burial will be at Stahl Cemetery in Wells County. Memorial contributions can be given to St. Judes Children's Hospital, Disabled American Veterans, or Matthew 25 in Fort Wayne.
