Kaaren S. Ziegler, 74, of Bluffton, passed away Saturday afternoon, Feb. 25, 2017, at River Terrace Retirement Community.

Kaaren was born in Portland, IN, to George W. Fairchild and Virginia R. (Lloyd) Fairchild Kreigh.  Both parents preceded her in death.

She was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Uniondale, IN.

Survivors include three daughters, Lynne A. (Eugene) Otis of Bluffton, OH, Lynda C. Ketelsen of Noblesville, and Lydia M. Pyle of Smyrna, DE; a sister, Deborah (Larry) Gaskill of Markle; a brother, Robert (Ellie) Fairchild of Chico, CA; along with three grandchildren, Stephanie (Johnny) Emley, Jennifer Otis, and Katy Pyle, and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate Kaaren's life will be held on Saturday, Mar. 18, 2017, at 10:30 AM, at the River Terrace Chapel in Bluffton, IN.  Burial will be at the Green Park Cemetery in Portland at a later date.
