June V. Gazdik, 88, of Bluffton, died at 10:50 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at Christian Care Retirement Center. Mrs. Gazdik was born in Pittsburg, Pa. on June 1, 1921 to Daniel and Nellie (Brown) McCartney. She married Joseph Gazdik in Columbus, Ga. on April 9, 1943; he preceded her in death on April 7, 1986. Mrs. Gazdik retired from PickawayCounty, Ohio school system, where she worked as a secretary, and volunteered at Bargain Hut in Bluffton. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bluffton. She loved reading and spending time at the library. She was loved, and will be missed, by family and friends. Surviving relatives include one son, James P. (Sonya) Gazdik of Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, JoAnn (Larry) Dustman of Bluffton; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton and from 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the church with Fr. Francis Chukwuma officiating. Burial is at St. Joseph's Cemetery, in Circleville, Ohio.
