Joyce Ileen Johnson, 59, Berne, died at 7:10 a.m. Sunday, July 1, 2012, at Chalet Village in Berne. Born in Bluffton on Dec. 10, 1952, to Earl E. and Crystal M. (Tuttle) Masterson, she married Stephen Wayne Johnson on Dec. 6, 1979, in Bluffton; he survives. She attended Bluffton High School and was a homemaker and a caregiver for her mother. Other survivors include a brother, Keith L. Masterson of Bluffton; two sisters, Vickie L. (William) Osborn and Paula (Dennis) Deininger, both of Bluffton; and several very special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James Studabaker; and a sister, Roberta Kernstein. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jerry O'Neal officiating. Calling hours there are Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Six Mile Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to the St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
