John P. Stiles, 60, of Bluffton, died at 11:15 a.m. Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Born on Jan. 6, 1952, in Morgantown, W.Va., to George W. and Mabel C. (Zetty) Stiles, he married Deb Brown on Sept. 29, 1979 in Bluffton; she survives. Other survivors include two sons, John Paul Stiles and James Stiles, both of Bluffton; two daughters, Mary (Tony) Dowell of Bluffton and Cindy S. Stiles of Indianapolis; a brother, Carl (Renee) Stiles of Fla.; a sister, Karen (Prentice) Trickett of Flat Rock, Ohio; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Tom and George Stiles; and three sisters, Dottie Turner, Ann Haskiell, and Aladria Messenger. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Calling hours there are from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Gearnand Cemetery in Wells County.
