John F. Habegger, 77, of Linn Grove, IN passed away early Saturday morning (Sept. 28, 2019) at his residence surrounded by his family.

John was born in Berne, IN on Feb. 12, 1942 to Ellis F. and  Lenora (Neuenschwander) Habegger, both parents preceded him in death. He attended Berne - French Township High School and graduated in 1960.

John married Judy A. (Mason) in Bluffton, IN on Sept. 2, 1962, she survives. He worked for CTS Printing in Berne, IN for 42 years and retired in 2002. He was a member of Living Water United Church in Bluffton, where he served on the church board, Lay Leade,r  Sunday School Teacher and Sunday School Superintendent.

John enjoyed collecting baseball memorabilia, he was a lifelong "Dodger Fan", working in his flower and vegetable garden, most of all, spending time with his grandchildren and family.

He is survived by his wife Judy, a daughter; Dawn R. (Chris) Kreigh of Linn Grove, and a son, Scott A. Habegger of Ossian.; one granddaughter, Mikala (Colton) Watson; three grt. Grandchildren, Adalynn, Sawyer and Sadie Watson., two brothers; Paul L. (Donna) Habegger of N. Manchester and Jarod L. Habegger of Berne.

Visitation will be held on Thursday October 3, 2019 from  2:00 to 8:00 PM , at the Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel 3220 East SR 124 Bluffton, and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday October 4, 2019 at the Church.

Funeral services will be held on Friday October 4, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Living Water United Church 6486 South 700 East Bluffton, IN Pastor Clark Stoller will officiate.

Burial will follow immediately at the Old Salem Cemetery, Bluffton.
