Obituary

Joann A. Yeoman, 91, of Bluffton, passed away Monday morning, Feb. 13, 2023, at Markle Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Joann was born in Winamac on Sept. 22, 1931, to Anthony and Lottie (Parker) Grindle.  She married Eugene "Gene" M. Yeoman in Rensselaer on Apr. 22, 1950; he survives.

Joann graduated from Star City High School in Polaski County and was a member of Sonlight Wesleyan Church in Bluffton.  She was a homemaker and her hobbies included square dancing, shopping, and doing puzzles and crossword puzzles.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Joann is survived by a son, Michael (Angie) Yeoman of Bunker Hill; a daughter, Dena (Bill) Byrd of Phil Campbell, AL; two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Aside from her parents, Joann was preceded in death by a grandchild, and two half-sisters, Dorothy Freeman and Erma Sharkey.

A private graveside service will be held at Hoverstock Cemetery in Zanesville with Pastor Lyle Breeding officiating.  Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
