Joan S. Garrett, 95, of Bluffton, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at River Terrace Estates. She was born Dec. 18, 1919, and was a lifelong resident of Wells County. She graduated from Bluffton High School in 1937 and worked at Ruth's Dress Shop and as a bookkeeper for Garrett's Marathon Service Station. She was a member of Psi Iota Xi sorority and First Reformed Church of Bluffton. Her hobbies included knitting, especially blankets for her grandchildren. She also loved Boston terriers. She married G. William "Bill" Garrett June 15, 1940, in Vera Cruz; he preceded her in death May 29, 2009. She is survived by a son, Jerry (Darlene) Garrett, of Bluffton; and a daughter, Sally (Floyd) Lobsiger, of Bluffton; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Dr. Bryson E. Bell will officiate.
