Jill M. Herndon, 39, of rural Bluffton, passed away Nov. 19, 2013, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Jill was born July 2, 1974, in Bluffton to Richard A. and Karen E. Haines Eubank; her father and stepmother Diane survive in Markle. She married Barry L. Herndon June 4, 1993, in Bluffton; he survives. Jill was a 1992 graduate of Norwell High School and attended Life Community Church. She was a loving mother and very devoted to her family. She especially enjoyed attending her daughters' sporting events and was also involved with childcare at her church. She was a homemaker and had also worked at Walmart in Huntington for 10 years. Additional survivors include five daughters, Kali M. Herndon of Fort Wayne, and Cassie E. Herndon, Caitlin F. Herndon, Samantha L. Herndon, and Hanna K. Herndon, all of Bluffton; a grandson, Maysen D. Herndon; a brother, Jeff A. (Lisa) Eubank of Bluffton; grandfather, Jack (Rachael) Meyer of Geneva; and step siblings Thad Castleman and Tiffany Cole. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at Life Community Church with Chad Ringger officiating. Calling hours are 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel, and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Six Mile Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the family.
