Jesse Lewis, 71, of Bluffton, passed away Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015, at Lutheran Hospital. He was born Aug. 17, 1944, in Harlan, Ky., to Burley Lewis and Smina Brock Lewis. He married Narda A. Linn Oct. 23, 1976, in Bluffton; she survives. Jesse graduated from Evarts High School in Kentucky. He was a retired truck driver, retiring from Ormsby Trucking in 2011. He also attended New Beginning Church in Bluffton, and enjoyed lifting weights at the YMCA. He also enjoyed working on his computer. Survivors include three sons, Morris (Amber) Lewis of Bluffton, Kenneth (Teresa) Lewis of Fort Wayne, and Herbert (Lori) Lewis of Bluffton; two daughters, Shelia (Tom) Osborne of Bluffton, and Gina (Harold) Barger of Bluffton; three sisters, Mary Jane Brown of Kentucky, Hedy Vaughn of Bluffton, and Fannie (Barry) Vallee of Florida; 28 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel Turner and Perlina Cloud and five brothers, Jake, James, Lacy, Henry, and Johny Lewis. A memorial service will be held at on Saturday November 21, 2015 at 5:00 PM at the New Beginning Church, Poneto, IN Pastor Steve Sutton will officiate.
