Jesse V. Gilbert, 60, Bluffton, died at 5:35 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2015 at Markle Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born Aug. 22, 1954 in Harlan, Ky. to Joseph and Mary (Madden) Gilbert, he married Mary L. Jahn on Aug. 13, 1994 in Monroe; she survives. Other survivors include two sons, Joshua S. Avery of Bluffton and Jason (Naomi) Jahn of Huntington; a sister, Balina (Harold ) Prater, Bluffton; a brother, Bobby Gilbert of Florida; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents along with two sisters, Flora Lewis Gilbert and Pauline Courtney; and one brother, John Gilbert. A memorial service to celebrate Jesse's life will be held Saturday August 8, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. at the Decatur Lighthouse Assembly of God, 8727 North US Hwy. 27 Decatur, IN
