Jerry L. Swartz, 67, of Bluffton, passed away Wednesday morning, June 15, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Jerry was born in Fort Wayne on March 5, 1949, to William and Lucy (Fitzgerald) Swartz.  He attended Bluffton High School and was a welder at A.T. Ferrell Company in Bluffton for 29 years.

Jerry is survived by two daughters, Nikki (Brian) Topp of Huntington and Amber (Steve) Athan of Amelia, OH; two grandchildren, Brenden and Emery Athan; a brother, Tom (Laura) Swartz of Poe; a sister, Deb Straley of Bluffton; and his significant other, Paula Heller of Bluffton.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by a sister, Pam Kramer.

Services will held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton, with visitation from noon until 2:00 at the funeral home.  Pastor Tony Robles will officiate.  Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Bluffton at a later date.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions may be given to the Friends Who Care Cancer Relief Foundation or American Diabetes Association.
