Jerry Mounsey, 76, of Keystone, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017, at his home.
He was born Aug. 8, 1940, in Wells County to John V. and Ople Schemerhorn Mounsey.
He worked at Franklin Electric for 36 and a half years, retiring in 2002. He farmed until 1980. He served in the Indiana National Guard and was a member of the Moose Lodge in Portland.
Jerry enjoyed hunting, cutting wood, helping with farming, and dancing.
He is survived by three sons, Tony (Tammy) Mounsey and Kent D. (Alejandra) Mounsey, both of Fort Wayne, and Samuel E. Mounsey of Bluffton; two daughters, Barbara Ann Mounsey of South Carolina and Lora (Wally) Greenlee of Montpelier; his companion, Beverly Betz of Bluffton; a brother, Edgar (Carolyn) Mounsey of Ocala, Fla.; two sisters, Wilma Satterfield of Lexington, Tenn., and Jeannette (Max) Haffner, of Lafayette; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gaylord Mounsey, in 2015.
A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 20, at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, at the funeral home.
