Jane S. Hiatt, 84, of Rochester, Minn., and formerly of Vista, Calif., passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, in Rochester, Minn. She was born July 16, 1929,in Bluffton, to Dr. Orville G. and Lulu Summers Hamilton. She married Thomas L. Hiatt; he preceded her in death Sept. 23, 2004. She was a Bluffton High School graduate of 1947. She attended Christen College in Columbia, Mo.She was a member of the PEO and an honorary lifetime member of the Parent Teachers Association-Arcadia Unified School District in Arcadia, Calif., and the National Assistance League of Southern California. She is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins; two brothers-in-law, Erwin W. "Bill" Kalt of Beloit, Wis., and Dr. William R. (Mary) Hiatt of Germantown, Wis. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Kalt. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m.Saturday, April 19, at Fairview Cemetery.
