James W. Thill, 80, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 9, 2020 at his residence in Bluffton following a short illness.

Jim was born in Elwood, IN on September 19, 1939 to Lester Thill and Ruth H, (Myers) Thill, both parents preceded him in death.  He married Annette M. (Wilmore) in Dunkirk, IN on July 26, 1969, she preceded him in death on November 7, 2011.

Jim was a 1957 graduate on Muncie Central High School in Muncie, IN. Following graduation, Jim was a Foreman for Star Engineering in Bluffton for 30 years, retiring in May 2005. He was a avid I.U. fan, enjoyed traveling, working on automobiles and woodworking.

He is survived by his three children; Jeff (Robin) Thill of St. Petersburg, FL., Kenneth (Kristie) Thill of Redonda Beach, CA., and Jenny (Dave) Hunter of Ft. Wayne, IN. Six grandchildren and 3 grt. grandchildren; one sister, Dottie (Larry) Crowe of Cincinnati, OH., and one brother, Phil Thill of Farmland, IN.

In addition to his parents and wife, Jim was preceded in death by a sister, Leona Thill.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 10:30 AM the funeral home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Roy Nevil will officiate.

Burial will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery, Bluffton.
