Jacob "Jake" Matthew Michuda, 4 years old, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Bluffton on August 24, 2006, to Matthew Michuda and Mackenzie (Warwick) Shank; he is also survived by his recent step-father, Cory Shank. Jake was a lover of the outdoors, which included going to the beach, swimming, going to the zoo, fishing, four-wheeling and camping in Mongo, Indiana. He was a very tendered-hearted boy who loved dinosaurs, listening to music, reading, playing with his pet "Snakey", and most of all, enjoyed spending time with his parents, nine cousins, and grandparents. Besides his parents, Jake is also survived by his maternal grandparents, John (Debbie) Warwick of Bluffton; paternal grandparents, Mark (Joanne) Michuda of Ossian; and step-paternal grandparents, Jeff (Tina) Shank of Bluffton. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at Lancaster Elementary School, from noon to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, at 11 a.m. at Lancaster Elementary School, with Tony Chaney officiating. A private Celebration of the Mass of the Angels will be held at the St. Aloysius Church in Yoder, IN, with Monsignor Galic officiating. In lieu of floral tributes, it has been asked that memorial contributions be given to the families. For nearly five years, Jakes family has enjoyed their time with him and looks forward to seeing him again. Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton is in care of the funeral arrangements for Jake.
