J. Stephen "Steve" Brangan, 62, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, September 28, 2012, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family and close friends. Born on December 10, 1949, in Richmond, IN, to Richard and Janice (Roberts) Brangan, Steve married Andrea Pastor in Fort Wayne on June 6, 1987. He had been a Fort Wayne resident for 27 years. A 1968 graduate of Richmond High School, Steve later graduated from Ball State University. He has worked at Lincare as a service representative for 11 years. Survivors include his wife, Andrea, of 25 years; a son, Erick Cade (Sharon) Brangan of Valparaiso; a brother, Richard (Rosemary) Brangan of Greenwood; and a sister, Judy Biggs of Richmond. Both of Steve's parents preceded him in death. A celebration of Steve's life will be held Saturday, October 13, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Living Faith Missionary Church, 17718 State Road 1, Yoder, IN, with Pastor Joel Gregory officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be given to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home of Fort Wayne, Living Faith Missionary Church, or Chemoangels.
