Irene E. Reinhard, 94, went to be with her Lord at 6:55 p.m., Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the Christian Care Retirement Community in Bluffton. Irene was born October 27, 1916 in Wells County, to John and Lydia (Gerber) Fiechter. She married Aaron Reinhard on July 7, 1940; he preceded her in death in 1998. Irene was a homemaker and farm wife where she found great joy in lovingly serving her family. A devoted Christian, she was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. Irene is survived by three sons, Donnie (Sharon) Reinhard of East Lansing, MI, Jerome (Gale) Reinhard of Bluffton, and John (Pam) Reinhard of Bluffton, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Doris (Chuck) Neuenschwander and Lillian (Walter) Bertsch and by brothers Dale (Doris) Fiechter and Gerald (Eunice) Fiechter. Her daughter, Rosemary, brothers Ervin Fiechter and John Doyle Fiechter and sisters Velma Kipfer, Alice Aschliman, Marie Drayer, and Mildred Neuenschwander, and one grandchild preceded her in death. Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. There will be additional calling from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Apostolic Christian Church East. Services will be held at the church at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 14, 2010 with Ron Kipfer and Ed Schwartz officiating. Burial will be at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery, Bluffton. Preferred memorial are to Christian Care Retirement Community.
