Ilean E. Steffen, 90, of Bluffton, passed away Thursday morning, June 14, 2018, at Christian Care Retirement Community in Bluffton.

Ilean was born in Adams County on April 28, 1928, to Eli and Lydia (Steffen) Geyer. She married Lenard J. Steffen in Bluffton on June 12, 1949; he preceded her in death on December 29, 1997.

Ilean was a waitress at the Dutch Mill for many years and worked at CTS Corporation in Berne for over twenty years.  She then later retired as a hostess at the Corner Depot in Bluffton at the age of 85. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church and enjoyed playing games with her family. She was baptized in 1946, and faithfully served her Lord for 72 years.

Survivors include her three daughters, Rhonda (Fred) Rupel, Denise (Joe) Maller and Terri (Dave) Mueller, all of Bluffton; a daughter-in-law, Janelle Steffen of Bluffton; a sister, Dorothy "Dot" VanHorn of Decatur; two brothers, George (Norma) Geyer and Glen Geyer, both of Decatur; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Sam Steffen; two sisters, Lavera Heyerly and Bertie Reinhard; five brothers, Earl, Verlin, Lester, Loyal Geyer and an infant brother, Donald Geyer.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 17, 2018, from 12:00 until 8:00 PM at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Services will be held Monday, June 18, 2018, at 10:30 AM, at the Apostolic Christian Church East, with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Adams County.
