Helen D. Miller, 71, of Bluffton, died at 10:10 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2009, at Heritage Pointe in Warren. Mrs. Miller was born in Richmond on June 12, 1938 to Samuel R. and Mary Grubbs Wilson. She married William R. Miller in Richmond on May 2, 1958; he survives. Mrs. Miller was self-employed, working in promotional sales for Red Oak Incorporated for 15 years. She was a member of Trinity Life Chapel in Geneva. Other surviving relatives include three sons, Billy (JoAnn) Miller of Geneva, Rick (Kelly) Miller of Hanover and Charles (Annette) Miller of Hubbard, Texas; four daughters, Pam (Mitch) Stookey of Fortville, Mary Cowan of Fort Wayne, Stephanie Shepherd of Franklin and Jenny (Vincent) Seats of Greenwood; three sisters, Margaret Scales of Richmond, Mary Lou Elliot of Elkhart and Shirley Rush of Bluffton; and 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by one brother, James Wilson. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Terry Werst officiating. Burial is at Fairview Cemetery, in Bluffton. Preferred memorials are to a charity of the donor's choice.
