Harry W. "Bill" Inskeep, 74, of Bluffton, passed away early Friday morning, July 31, 2015, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Bill was born in Wells County on Dec. 6, 1940. He was preceded in death by his father, John J. Inskeep and his mother, Metealea "Mable" (Freeman) Curry. He is survived by his companion of almost 30 years, Jean Burns of Bluffton. A 1958 graduate of Bluffton High School, Bill was a semi-truck driver for over 30 years. He later retired from the Indiana State Highway Department after 20 years of service. He was an avid horse lover and will be remembered for his leadership role with the Wells County 4-H. Aside from Jean, Bill is survived by two sons, Ron Inskeep of Ft. Wayne and Willie Inskeep of Ossian; two daughters, Billie Jo (Mark) Uffelman of Ft. Wayne and Jodie Jean Inskeep of Uniondale; and a sister, Carol (Bruce) Mattern of Ft. Wayne. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Brandon, Heather, and Travis Inskeep, and Justin, Tyler, Cassi, and Connor Uffelman; two great-grandsons, Isaiah Inskeep and Isaiah Faurote; Jean's grandchildren, Travis, Cassy, Caleb, and Mason Burns; Jean's great-grandchildren, Leona, Isabella, Roman, and Ashtrid Burns; along with a step-daughter, Tammy (Joe) Sova of Naperville, IL. Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a brother, John K. Inskeep. Per Bill's wishes, there will be no public services. Goodwin - Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Memorial contributions in Bill's memory may be made to the Wells County 4-H Horse and Pony Club.
