Harold A. Perry, 67, of rural Wells County, died at 3:21 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Mr. Perry was born in Bluffton on Jan. 19, 1944, to Kenneth W. and Mary Jane (Grogg) Perry. He married Blanche A. Arnold in Bluffton on June 21, 1969; she survives. Mr. Perry worked at Sterling Casting for 34 years, retiring in October 2003. Surviving relatives include two sons, Ricky A. (Barb) Perry and Michael A. Perry, both of Bluffton; three stepsons, Jeffrey Newman of Poneto, Jason Newman of Montpelier and Jerome (Melissa) Newman of Montpelier; two stepdaughters, Jessica (Harold) James of Ossian and Jackie (Michael) Young of Roanoke; three brothers, Howard (Bev) Perry of Bluffton, Max (Mary) Perry of Bluffton and Kenneth Perry of Keystone; one sister, Roxanne (Kenneth) Thompson of Poneto; seven grandchildren, 23 step grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and 26 step great-grandchildren. Mr. Perry was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Perry; one brother, Steve Perry; and one sister, Mary Angelo. Calling hours will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 10, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home with the Rev. David Terhune officiating. Burial is at Fairview Cemetery.
