Harold J. Meyer, age 80, of Bluffton, passed away Monday evening, June 24, 2019, at River Terrace Retirement Community.

Harold was born in Wells County on April 19, 1939, to Jacob C. and Anna E. (Bucher) Meyer.  He married Violet Baumgartner in Wells County on June 19, 1960; she survives.

A 1957 graduate of Lancaster Central High School, Harold was a lifelong farmer in the area.  He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and music, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church.

In addition to his wife, Harold is survived by three daughters, Rebecca (Gene) Gerber of Bluffton, Ronda (Lynn) Fiechter of Keystone, and Beth Ann (Michael) Horgash of Valparaiso; two sons, Dennis (Kathy) Meyer and Bryan (Kim) Meyer, both of Bluffton; 21 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert J. Meyer of Bluffton; and two sisters, Maxine (Truman) Worden of Plantation, FL, and Joan Beer of Nappanee.

Aside from his parents, Harold was preceded in death by a brother, Dale E. Meyer.

Visitation will be Friday, June 28, 2019, from noon until 8:00 PM, at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton.  Services will be Saturday, June 29 ^th , at 10:30 AM, at the Apostolic Christian Church East, with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church.  Lynn Fiechter, Kole Meyer, and John Reinhard will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in memory of Harold may be made to Christian Care Retirement Community "Good Samaritan Fund".
