Glenda L. Heyerly, 75, of Ossian, IN, passed away Friday afternoon, Dec. 2, 2022, at her residence, following an extended illness.
Glenda was born in Fentress County, Tn on Nov. 22, 1947, to Frankie and Margaret (Robins) LaPeer, both parents preceded her in death. She married Galen L. "Roll" Heyerly on May 5, 1980, in Las Vegas, Nevada, he survives in Ossian.
Glenda was a Beautician, she owned and operated Glenda's Hair Design for 35 years. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed arrowhead collecting, picture taking, and talking with her customers. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and trips to Florida.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years; Galen "Roll" Heyerly, three children; John Moore Jr. of Paulding, OH, Summer E. Heyerly of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and April L. (Kyle) Rahrig of Carmel, IN, three granddaughters; Teagan, Remi and Blake Rahrig, three sisters; Mary Lines of Ft. Wayne, Margaret LaPeer of Bluffton and Alice (Joe) Grady of Mansfield, TX, two brothers; John (Judy) LaPeer of Bluffton and Frankie "Jack" LaPeer of Florida.
In addition to her parents, she is was preceded in death by a brother; Jerry LaPeer.
Receiving of friends will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton, followed immediately by a celebration of life service at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Kim Woodson will officiate.
Burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be to Humane Society of Broward County, Florida or Riley Children's Hospital Foundation.
