Glen E. Fiechter, 90, Tocsin, passed away Sept. 3, 2014, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Glen was born Sept. 28, 1923, in Wells County to Fred Fiechter and Mary Ann Aschliman Fiechter. He married Lucy Elizabeth Meyer in Wells County April 5, 1947; she preceded him in death Jan. 6, 1996. Glen loved traveling with his wife. He was ready for his Lord to take him home to be with her. Glen was a wood worker, making furniture for Berne Furniture. He attended St. Marks United Methodist Church in Decatur. He was an avid bowler for years. Survivors include a brother, Richard (Wava) Fiechter of Craigville; brother-in-law, Ervin Moser of Bluffton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Nova Kipfer and Lula Moser; and three brothers, Lloyd, Walter and Ralph Fiechter. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel with Pastor Chris Gadlage officiating. Calling is Sunday, Sept. 7, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Prospect Cemetery in Uniondale.
