Gladys L. Lantz, 95, of Bluffton, passed away Thursday evening, June 20, 2013, at Christian Care Retirement Community. Born on August 17, 1917, in Adams County, IN, to Samuel and Rosa (Minger) Bertsch, Gladys married Daniel C. Lantz in Bluffton on September 3, 1938.; he preceeded her death August 3, 2006. Gladys was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. Gladys was a homemaker and volunteered 20 years at Swiss Village in Berne, IN. Survivors include four sons, John (Sue) Lantz, Daniel (Charlene) Lantz, Jr., Steve Lantz of Bluffton, IN, and James (Kathy) Lantz of Dectur, IN; two daughters, Rose (Ted) Pfister and Mary Lantz of Bluffton, IN. 11 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great granchildren; two brothers; Oscar(Sylivia)Bertsch of Decatur and Walter Bertsch of Bluffton. She was preceded in death by a sister, Beulah Schwartz, and seven brothers, Jay, Herman, Melvin, Laurin, Harve, Leonard, Robert Bertsch and one great grandchild. Visitation will be Saturday, June 22, 2013, from noon until 8:00 p.m. at Goodwin - Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel, 3220 East State Road 124, Bluffton, IN. Services will be held Sunday, at 3:00 p.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church East, with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Adams County. Memorials can be given through: Zach Bertsch-Loving Shepherd Ministries or Christian Care Retirement Community.
