Gary W. Ramseyer Sr., 60, of Bluffton, died at 3:30 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2011, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Mr. Ramseyer was born in Bluffton on Feb. 5, 1951, to Gerald and Joan (Ulmer) Ramseyer. He married Pam Rains in Montpelier on July 10, 1982; she survives. Mr. Ramseyer worked for STS Truck and Equipment in Uniondale as a mechanic for 30 years. Other surviving relatives include two sons, Gary W. Ramseyer and Dylan M. Ramseyer, both of Bluffton; two daughters, Maria Ramseyer of Columbus, Ohio and Tara Ramseyer of Wisconsin; five brothers, Rick (Connie) Ramseyer of Poneto, Tom (Neva) Ramseyer of Bluuffton, Dave (Carrie) Ramseyer of Poneto, Jeff (Janey) Ramseyer of Poneto and Tim (Arda) Ramseyer of Arizona; four sisters, Jennie Barger of Bluffton, Becky (Denny) Runkle of Warren, Sandy (Steve) Rogers of Dunkirk and Nancy (Ernie) Smelser of Flora; one sister-in-law, Pam Ramseyer; four grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. Mr. Ramseyer was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Ramseyer; and one grandson. Calling hours will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home with Doyle Frauhiger officiating. Burial is at Miller Cemetery in Chester Township. Preferred memorials are to the family.
