Fred L. Perrin Sr. , 81, of Bluffton, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center in Bluffton following a short illness.

Fred was born in Ft. Wayne, IN on December 12, 1938 to George and Ruth (David) Perrin. He graduated from Etna Green High School. Following graduation he served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1961. Fred retired in 1991 from GTE (Verizon) after 19 years of service. He was a former coach and umpire for Bluffton Boy's Baseball League, and a member of the Bluffton Bowling League since 1965.He was a member of American Legion Post 111 in Bluffton.

He is survived by his spouse of 47 years; Bea Perrin of Bluffton; a daughter, Gale (Robert) Snow of Ossian, two sons; Randy (Gina) Perrin of South Lyon, MI., and Fred (Robin) Perrin Jr. of New York; seven grandchildren,  six great- grandchildren; and a sister, Sally Hile of Florida.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents and a sister; Linda Marshall; and two brothers, David Perrin and Larry Gill.

In accordance with Fred's wishes, private family services will be held. Private family burial will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery with Pastor Dr. Bryson (Gene) Bell officiating and military graveside rites conducted by the U.S. Army Honor Guard and American Legion Post 111 of Bluffton.
