Frances E. Fear, 92, of Montpelier, died at 3:50 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009, at River Terrace Estates Healthcare. Mrs. Fear was born in Blackford County on June 12, 1917 to Phillip and Elizabeth (Willman)Lauck. She married William A. Fear in Hartford City on June 22, 1935; he preceded her in death on May 10, 1988. Mrs. Fear worked for Sheller Globe in Montpelier, retiring in 1979 after 19 years of service. She attended the First Church of Christ in Domestic. Surviving relatives include three sons, Melvin (Bonnie)Fear of Bryant, Robert (Karen) Fear of Montpelier and Don (Cindy) Fear of Fort Wayne; three daughters, Shirley (Max) Arnold of Bluffton, Bonnie (Chuck)Brooks of Montpelier and Mitzie (Mark) Millett of Pennville; and 12 grandchildren, 14 stepgrandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and six step-great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home with Tyson Brooks officiating. Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, in Pennville. Preferred memorials are to the charity of the donor's choice.
