A native of Wells County, Ethel M. Elston, 103, died at 7:50 p.m. Sunday at Southfield Village in South Bend. She was born Jan. 27, 1912, to Elmer Pearl and Flossie Mae (Helton) Ramseyer. She married Walter R. Elston in Poneto in 1932. He preceded her in death. Survivors include daughters Ann Marie Long, Raleigh, N.C., and Marry Ellen (Don) Decker of Holland, Ohio. She is also survived by a son, Robert E. (Sally) Elston of South Bend, plus eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at Fairview Cemetery in Bluffton.
