Erika J. Baller, 39, of Obion, Tenn., passed away Monday, May 12, 2014, at her residence. She was born Aug. 18, 1974, in Wells County to John Dale and Harriett Tonner Thompson; her mother survives in Ossian. Erika married Charles "Chuck" Baller IV in Townsend, Tenn., June 15, 1996. She graduated from Norwell High School with the Class of 1992 and attended Ivy Tech Community College in Fort Wayne. She was a QMA at Christian Care Retirement Community for several years as well as a homemaker. Erika was an avid hiker/backpacker and loved camping, boating, making crafts and working in her garden. Survivors include a son, Quinton M. Baller of Bluffton; a daughter, Alexis J. Baller of Obion, Tenn.; a grandson, Parker Baller; and two sisters, Carmen (Todd) Allen of Indianapolis and Rachel Thompson of Ridgeville. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, May 16, at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel. Calling hours are from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
