Elizabeth J. Heron, age 86 of Montpelier, passed away Thursday morning, Aug. 30, 2018, at Signature Healthcare of Bluffton.

Born in Wells County, on September 27, 1932, to William "Herbert" Sr. and Gladys M. (Rohrabaugh) Brickley. Elizabeth married James William Heron in Fort Wayne on May 10, 1971.

Elizabeth was a homemaker and worked several years as a CNA at Westhaven Nursing Home. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, along with knitting. Elizabeth loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include, her husband; two sons, John Heron of Liberty Center and David Sharpe of Montpelier; two daughters, Cindy Roth of Dunkirk, IN and Sherry Heron of Montpelier; one brother, Jerry (Pat) Brickley of Bluffton; six sisters, Frieda "Key" Jackson of Monroeville, Beatrice Huffman of Goshen, Janet Marshall of Fort Wayne, Dorothy (Enos) Gore of Keystone, Alice Jacobs of Ossian and Dixie (Hank) Osborn of Ossian.

In addition to her parents, one son preceded her in death, Michael C. Brickley in 2010; eight brothers, George, Bryce, Richard, Warren, Chester, Clarence, Dean and William "Bill" Brickley Jr.; one sister, Joan Knight.

Private family services were held at Mossburg Cemetery. Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton have been entrusted with the arrangements.
