Richard "Dick" Tullis, 82, of Bluffton, passed away Thursday evening, March 26, 2015, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Born on February 11, 1933, in Champaign County, OH, to Robert Mitchell and Edith Louise (Walters) Tullis, he married Dotty A. Pighetti on August 17, 1980 in Milesburg, PA; she survives. Dick was a 1951 graduate of Westville High School in Ohio and was a truck driver for 35 years, retiring in 1995. He was an avid horse lover, and especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren's 4-H events, along with the Bluffton Street Fair. Dick and his wife attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Berne. Aside from his wife, Dick is survived by five sons, Rick (Lisa) Tullis of St. Paris, OH, Dan (Sharon) Tullis of Bellefontaine, OH, Randy Tullis of Alexandria, IN, Bob (Kim) Tullis of Bluffton, and Dale (Ana) Emel, of Milton, GA; three daughters, Marcy Hahn of Piqua, OH, Lucinda (Kenny) Ronk of Urbana, OH, and Annette (Dewayne) Lose of Howard, PA; 16 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert "Bob" Tullis and Melvin Tullis. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 31, 2015, from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M., at Goodwin - Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 1, at the Bluffton First Church of the Nazarene, at 10:30 A.M., with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church. Pastors Dr. Wayne F. Steury and Dr. Bryson E. "Gene" Bell will officiate. Burial will be at Six Mile Cemetery in Bluffton. The family asks that in lieu of floral tributes, contributions be given to the First Church of the Nazarene of Berne, IN.
