Dorothy M. Pastore, 79, of Bluffton, died at 3:34 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Pastore was born on Feb. 6, 1933, in Lawton, Okla., to Ernest M. Nottingham and Mildred L. (Reach) Nottingham. She married Nicholas A. Pastore on July 18, 1953, in Lawton, Okla.; he preceded her in death on June 29, 1974. Mrs. Pastore was a housewife. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Surviving relatives include two sons, Stephen Pastore of Colorado and Thomas Pastore of Indianapolis; one daughter, Nicole (Geoff) Penrod of Columbia City; one brother, Jerry D. (Wynona) Nottingham of Lawton, Okla.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Pastore was preceded in death by one daughter, Michele Fendt; and two sisters, Beverly Loubier and Tommie Miller. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bluffton, with Father Francis Chukwuma officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Bluffton. Preferred memorials are to the Wells County Foundation and the Whitley County Community Foundation.
