Dorothy L. Fiechter, 95, went to be with her Lordat 4:50 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2010, at the ChristianCare Retirement Community in Bluffton. She was born Dec. 31, 1914, in Wells County, to William Fiechter and Salome Aeschliman Fiechter. She wasa homemaker, loving sister, beloved aunt, and devoted Christian. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. Dorothy is survived by three brothers, Herman (Phyllis)Fiechter of Bluffton, Carl (Mary) Fiechter of Berne, and Charles (Maxine) Fiechter of Bluffton; a sister, Mary Jane (Claire) Yergler of Bluffton; and 19 nieces and nephews, 86 great nieces and nephews, and 50 great-great nieces and nephews. Dorothy will be deeply missed by the many lives she touched. Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. There will be additional calling from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Apostolic Christian Church East. Services will be held at the church at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010, with Lynn Fiechter and John Reinhard officiating. Burial will be at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery, Bluffton. Preferred memorials are to Family Hospice and Palliative Care or to the Christian Care Retirement Community.
